Sports Psychotherapy
Competitive sports can be extremely demanding, both physically
and mentally. Athletes face high expectations from various sources,
including fans, coaches, teammates, and the media. The pressure
to perform can take a toll on an athlete’s mental and emotional well-
being, especially when combined with the physical strain of training
and the risk of injury.
This is where sports counselling and therapy come in. As a
counselling psychologist and psychotherapist specializing in mental
health in sports, I work with athletes to help them achieve optimal
balance between mind and body. My aim is to help athletes improve
their performance and cope with various challenges, including
anxiety, negative self-image, team relationships, difficult life events,
burnout, and more.
My approach to sports counselling is highly personalized, as every
athlete is unique and faces different challenges. I have worked with
athletes from a variety of sports backgrounds, including gymnastics,
swimming, athletics, judo, golf, tennis, and more. Whether an
athlete is struggling with sports-related issues or issues outside of
their sport, I can provide guidance and support to help them
overcome their challenges.
My sports counselling services can benefit not only athletes, but
also coaches and trainers who may be facing difficulties or seeking
guidance in their work. I can help athletes with transitions from
sport, enhancing performance, coping with pressure, managing
anxiety, coping with injury and rehabilitation, and more. My goal is
to help athletes achieve their full potential both on and off the field.
If you’re an athlete, coach, or trainer looking for support in achieving
optimal mental and emotional well-being, I invite you to explore my
sports counselling and therapy services. Let’s work together to help
you achieve your goals and overcome your challenges.
